Collaborative Film Review
Hello, my dear reader! 💗
Today, I will share my experience on the task of collaborative writing. I worked on this task with my friends YaÄŸmur Kavak and Bilge Dilara DoÄŸan. You can reach YaÄŸmur's blog by clicking here and you can reach Bilge's blog by clicking here. We had two options for this task: writing a film review or writing on a global issue. My dear group friends and I chose to write a film review because we all like to watch and discuss movies.
We chose the movie "Shutter Island" for our film review because we, as a group, watched it and found it worth reviewing. We were supposed to summarize the film, express our ideas, and comment on some aspects of the film. We were also required to provide the trailer and some pics from the movie. After we were done with our review, we were supposed to comment on another group's review. Likewise, the same group was supposed to comment on ours.
Here are some screenshots from our film review, comments were also provided:
I really enjoyed the process of writing collaboratively. It did not make me feel like it was a task I had to do, rather I felt like it was an activity with my friends. I have always liked to discuss the movies I watched with my friends, so it was fun to make a whole review with them. 😊
We used Google Documents to prepare our film review. I was familiar with Google Docs, therefore I had no difficulty using it. Writing collaboratively on Google Docs is the easiest! You just need to add your friends' e-mails to the documents as editors. Then, you guys are ready to write anything together! To be honest, Google Docs is the simplest tool for writing collaboratively, in my opinion. Also, it has many features for your writing such as choosing a font, adjusting the lines, and so on. Google Docs is highly recommended!
