21st Century Learning

Hello, my dear reader!

How are you? I hope you're doing well. πŸ’–πŸ˜Š

Today, we will talk about 21st century learning, the use of technology in education and in language classrooms, and why is it important.

Would you say education today is the same as it was thirty years ago?

Well, I wouldn't, and I guess you would agree with me. Let's talk about what has changed in education in thirty years. First of all, technology has come into our lives. This situation affected the world in all aspects including education. In the 21st century, technology has become one of the most significant pedagogical tools, as we all know. For this reason, I think digital technologies should be used by teachers to foster learning. Another issue on the topic is that in the 21st century, students are "digital natives". Digital natives are those who have grown up in a world where the internet and other contemporary information technologies are pervasive. Therefore, the students will be in demand of technology use in education.

Digital immigrants are people who were not born into the digital era, and digital immigrant teachers must change their teaching habits according to the new century. I believe that teachers must be ready to work in a completely new environment where digital technologies are a reality. This requires them to be digitally literate.

Technology use in education in the 21st century is even more important in language classrooms. This is because of the developments in technology in the aspect of language. Isn't it unbelievable how much the translators based on AI improved? Also, there are so many tools that adjust form and structure, and there are so many educational videos on the internet about language and other topics. This is all to say that teachers should get help from digital technologies to develop the language skills of their students, and this way learning will be familiar to students and teaching will be easier for teachers.

This is all I want to say about the 21st century learning. I wonder about your opinion on this topic. Feel super free to indicate your ideas about this in the comments section.

Don't forget to check the images I attached at the end of the post!

Stay tuned for more, πŸ’—
